Hope everyone gets a good night's rest and I will see everyone back at GHS tomorrow!
Hump Day! Hopefully everyone is having a great start to their school year. Today in World History, we discussed what skills historians use on a daily basis. We also discussed where the information historians uses come from as well as how to categorize those sources into either primary or secondary sources. These are skills that we will use throughout the school year as we continue our journey through all of World History.
Hope everyone gets a good night's rest and I will see everyone back at GHS tomorrow!

We are already two days through our journey through World History and I hope that everyone is enjoying getting to know everyone as much as I am enjoying getting to know y'all. Today in class, we discussed how the brain is a muscle. Just like your biceps or calves or any other muscle, your brain becomes stronger when you challenge it with tougher material. We also learned that this idea of you being able to strengthen your abilities is known as the growth mindset. This idea that you are not stuck with whatever ability you are born with and that you can develop your talents over time is the central idea that this class is built on. I hope that everyone gets a good night's rest and I look forward to seeing everyone back here tomorrow! I had a great time meeting everyone today. I know that today was not the most exciting day in any of your classes as we went over our course syllabi as well as late work policies and other mundane policies. However, I hope that you came away excited about our mission here in World History to get better everyday and develop our skills to be successful professional individuals when we leave the class. Make sure that y'all get some sleep tonight and i look forward to seeing everyone back at GHS tomorrow!
I hope that everyone has had a great summer break and is rested and refreshed for a great 2016-2017 school year here in World History Honors. The classroom is set up, the presentation is ready to go and all that is left is for us to meet for the first time tomorrow. Make sure that you get a good night's rest tonight and show up ready to get better everyday starting tomorrow. I can't wait for us to get started!
